How much rent will you pay?

The amount of rent charged by the Fonds du Logement is governed by two parameters, firstly, the net available income of the tenant household, secondly, the weighted area of the rented accommodation.

The rent is reviewed annually and lowered or raised depending on the amount of net available income received by the tenant household during the preceding year.
In order to ensure that the Fund's housing accommodation is actually reserved for the neediest cases, the regulations stipulate a progressive scale of rent which makes it more attractive for tenants with incomes above a certain level to look for accommodation on the private market rather than remain in the accommodation rented from the Fund.
